Dear Church: I'm Gay

Short Documentary

The religious conversation about LGBTQ issues often erupts into depersonalized debates about Biblical passages or scientific studies. In "Dear Church: I'm Gay", you'll follow the journey of real people who have wrestled with their faith, sexuality or gender, and you'll see that these conversations aren't just about issues. They're about people. Real people. Beautiful people created in God's image. Released August 2017.

About

Glory Unlimited

Our name, Glory Unlimited, was created with intentionality back in 2004. Our name reminds us that we are called to tell of the limitless glory of our Creator. Today, we do that through film. We tell and promote stories that reveal the HOPE, POWER, and LOVE of JESUS.

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14

Our Musts
Jesus

JESUS must be at the heart of everything we do. Everything else must flow from HIM being the central focus.

Prayer

Every project, meeting, film-shoot must start in prayer, and continue throughout the project. Our work is meaningless without God's direction and favor.

Deeper

Every project we are a part of must challenge, encourage, and activate audiences to think and/or live deeper than before they watched.

Lasting

We must make things that last. This may mean spending longer making a project than usually expected and may change methods of distribution, film type, and typical thinking.

Real

We must be real with audiences. Following JESUS isn't easy, life isn't easy, but there is nothing more rewarding than a life devoted to the Savior of the world.

Steven Siwek Jr
Director & Producer

Marketer by day, filmmaker by night, I've always had a passion for telling stories. I've also always felt strongly about God's Church; looking for ways to be a help. It has looked different throughout my career, but I'm excited to use my experiences and God's call on my life to further His Kingdom. My life is defined by JESUS. My recent work has been all about diving into some of the most untouched topics in Christianity. My precious wife, daughter, and son encourage and motivate me when filmmaking takes inordinate time, incredible stamina, and inner confidence. I'm honored to do this work.

I've been interested in using images to tell a story ever since I was a little kid. I've landed in Colorado to follow my dream of having a career that utilizes my passion to create. Over the course of the last few years I have discovered Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life. This has been the most important revelation that has occurred in my life thus far. It is constantly transforming the way the I view the world and what I do as someone who creates things that others see and may be affected by!
